1957 Chevy 210 Townsman 4 door 6 passenger wagon
Original 283 2bbl V8 with Powerglide automatic transmission and 3.55 rear gear. Manual steering and brakes. 72,500 miles. This is NOT a frame-off restoration but an honest, clean mostly original car, except for the paint and front brake/suspension changes. It comes with all the original parts to restore if desired.
The original Michigan owner had the car from 1957 through 1993 but the car was
stored in a walkout basement in St. Clair, Mich. from 1966 to 1993 before finally being sold.
1997 - Repainted original colors (highland green and surf green) and new carpeting installed to replace the original rubber floor covering.
The paint was done at a professional shop and is still excellent and the original seats are still excellent with no rips or burn marks.
2002 – 2003
Heidt’s 2” dropped front spindles and front disc brake conversion with dual master cylinder. Front end all new…tie rods, ball joints, springs, shocks, bushings, sway bar etc. Engine compartment detailed at this time. 15” Cragar SS mags and BFG Radial T/A’s ( 215/70 X 15 on 6” front 235/70 X 15 on 7” rear )
New Desert Cooler 4 core radiator and hoses. New stock single exhaust system.
2003 - 2004
Added 4 seat belts, rebuilt carburetor, new outside mirror, added electric wiper motor, replaced rear axle grease seal. New plugs, wires, distr. cap, coil, etc.
2008
Replaced rear taillights with LED units. Cleaned and detailed the rest of the undercarriage |
